Back to the mainland

I have concluded my journey to the Hawaiian Islands. The week started out quite painful as my sinus' were clogged and I had a horrible migraine. I battled through my meetings in hopes of feeling better. Got to meet my new Vice President of the company and I tell you she is awesome!!

So my plan was to start working out, but with being so sick I couldn't. It wasn't until Thursday night until I did something fun. Got to see John/Kelly and go for a wonderful Korean feast. We always eat well there. Then the next day was the most amazing day I had in Hawaii. I was lucky enough to have a good friend take me to Hanama Bay for Snorkeling, Kayaking in the waters, Shave ice in town, the greatest Mochi on earth, and a homemade meal. It was amazing.

Kayaking was finally my workout. My shoulders are so sore today. So I guess that counts as the workout. I still am a little sick so I am now deferring my running until Tuesday...

So I bought my camera. It is a really cool Kodak camera. I didn't get too many pics because I bought it the day I left but here is my start.

As I snorkled through these waters giant fish cruised on by me left and right....

Aloha

Well I have finally hit two moments worth talking about. 1) I am in Hawaii this week. 2) Finished my GNC total body cleansing week long journey and well that means.... (cue dramatic music)... I must start running. I must admit that both do excite me, but bring a string of fear within me. Hawaii this time is a big test because I have a very high ranking manager here with me. I must do my absolute best to impress her... I hope I do because the extreme fast track in my company follows.

So about the running... I believed I performed some sort of Freudian sabotage on the running. On Saturday I made the conscience effort to go by running clothes.... Good work me! But apparently I forgot my running shoes... But then I realized who needs running shoes when I have miles of beaches. So.... To the beach I will go to run and work out. Maybe I will visit the Jujitsu club here and roll with them... Should be fun...

When I return I will need some motivation to run... You are the only one that could keep me going... So that your job....

My little boy is sick right now and staying at home with my mom. He's gonna be bummed when he realizes he won't get the perfect attendance award. I must explain its insignificance when I return. Hope he finishes the third Harry Potter Book. That series is like crack to little kids... Right on...

So as I sit here eating a spam Musabi, smoking, watching the beach from my balcony the wish in my mind is that my friends and family were here to share it with me....

Hawaii Bound

3 more day until I hit the sunny beaches of Hawaii. I write this as I sit on my cold wet balcony trying to get a decent smoke in. The I checked and saw that I had 3 more days of my GNC Total Body Cleaning Program. The agreement in my head is that when I finish the program I bought I will start running. Well I guess Hawaii is going to be where I start my runs.
I think I will try to wake up around 5am to go running then get to work at 8am. Think I'll go buy some running clothes. All I have is jeans and softball proved that,... well ... jeans aren't for sports....

So in my preparation for my grand re-alliance with my physical well-being I decided to do 50 push ups and 50 sit ups yesterday. Matthew joined me in the push up and sit ups. Both of us struggle. Its going to be a tough road ahead...... I'm actually sore today... That's sad.

So Matthew has purple haze down on Bass. 1 song down, 2 to go. I am promoting a song called 'Shame, Shame, Shame' as their 'Blues' song selection because I think the boys would sound good doing it. Their original I have been working on with Matthew has some possibilities. Purple Haze is a great rock song of course... But its hilarious to me that they are going to do an LSD inspired tune that represented rebellion in many forms. Be fun to watch.
So I think he is going to finish his 3rd Harry Potter book in this Tri-mester and get an insane amount of AR points (AR is a reading program used in many schools including Arnold). Glad he loves academics so much. He is doing so much better I ever did, I hope he continues his path....

So still haven't bought that camera. Think its about time to start posting photos. I believe I will use Hawaii as my photo testing grounds.

Lets see if he will break

Well work has done a marvelous job of reducing cost all over the place. Namely 2,000 employees have been promoted to customer over the last year and a half. That leave those remaining with more and more workload of course. I now have all of California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii..... Along with that 12 dispatchers, 8 managers, 8 admins, and a partridge in a pear tree. But I am blessed to have a job to begin with... I guess its the travel that bothers me most. If I was single without Matthew then I would love traveling. Now traveling is just painful.... I know this workload is not forever so its OK for now.

Complete Body Cleansing Program

So I decided it was time to address my physical attributes again. I know its time to run, time to train in Jujitsu and Judo, time to train Matthew and show him a good example of keeping life balanced. Emotional, Physical, and Intellectual must all balance. I have lost my balance...
So I bought GNC's complete body cleaning program. Its 7 days of I guess "detoxing" (a nice way of saying 'lets pump this person full of fiber and see what happens') . After the detox I will start running. Once I have consistantly ran for 3 weeks then I resume Judo and Jujitsu. I have good friends to support me on this journey as well.... This will be fun

Where I've been and where I'm going

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and
I--I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Getting Old.....

Some say that age is just a number, irrelevant to the person if they only believed that they were younger... Bah... So my last softball game was Friday night. I have decided I have the athletic ability of a 65 year old... While sad I plan to try again. But to get better I need a elaborate plan to get back into shape. Here's what I have to do:
- Run 3x a week for 3 miles
- Train Jujitsu 2x aweek
- Train Judo 1x a week

Sounds pretty simple on paper, my sore back is telling me its gonna be hard. I am glad I have friends to help.

Had to work all of Saturday. Its worth it. While I miss Matthew when I have to work the weekends I know in the long run the money is going to my new home purchase. I will be getting my townhouse this year no matter what. Its the right time, I got the right job, the right money, the right area, etc.

So my counterpart up north just left the company. I don't blame him. All the chaos of the last year could unnerve the calmest person. I luckily am used to the wild changes and my personality just goes with the flow.

The further I move up the company the more I think about a saying by the wise Colonel O'Neil "I have spent my entire life sticking it to the man, I have become the man, I don't think I can be the man."
